Our Story

We found ourselves constantly being asked if the items that WE made would ever be sold as gifts. After much prayer and encouragement, RURAL GIRLS was born.

Katie Foster & Hannah Foster, Owners

Katie and Hannah Foster are sisters who come from a large family of seven children and grew up in the small farming community of Paxton in East Central Illinois. Growing up, all of the children learned what it meant to put God first, love family, and have a passion for farming and a respect for their Country.

Both Katie and Hannah have always had creative natures and over the years their talents have grown. They found themselves constantly being asked if the items that they made would ever be sold as gifts. After much prayer and encouragement, RURAL GIRLS was born in December of 2017.

The one design that they are most proud of - and in some ways what started it all - is the first tractor “Grille” design they made for their niece’s diaper bag and a Farmall Super M cup. These went over so well that they made even more designs and proceeded to sell their items at a local tractor show. The products were a hit and the attention to detail was much appreciated by those who saw what they had to offer.

When they aren’t making items for Rural Girls, Katie and Hannah both enjoy antique tractor shows, visiting antique shops, perusing flea markets, and spending time with their extended family.
